Funarama is not just an activity centre; we also
pride ourselves on offering education for preschoolers through our
sports skills program and tennis lessons.
FS Sports Skills Academy
FS Sports Skills Academy is a fundamental movement and sports
skills program for pre-schoolers, which has been developed by
Angelee Boyd of the Australian College of Physical Education located
at the Olympic Centre at Homebush. The fundamental movements that
are required in most sports can generally be broken into 12 basic
movements i.e. Running, balance, throwing, catching, kicking etc.
The program runs over 10 weeks and will cover all the basic elements
and will be taught in a simplified game environment.
The classes are currently running at Funarama Children's Education,
Entertainment and Party Centre on Monday and Wednesday starting
at 9.30am and will run for one hour. The cost for each term will
be $150.00. This price includes GST and the cost of entry to Funarama.
Children are welcome to stay and use the facilities after the
classes have finished.
Tiny Tots Tennis
Tiny Tots Tennis is a specialised program of gross motor and tennis
related activities for young children from the ages of 3-6, and
the MegaTennis program is designed for 7-15 year olds. There are
currently 40 TinyTots Tennis Venues throughout Sydney including
the Sutherland group at Sutherland, Engadine, Caringbah and Kirrawee
with classes, mornings, afternoons and Saturday mornings. Children
from 3 to 4 use little racquets. Older children use junior tennis
racquets suitable for their size. All equipment is provided free
of charge during the lesson and the class size is limited to a
maximum of 6 children per session and 5 per session at Funarama.
Duration of the classes is 30 minutes for the 3-6 and 45 minutes
for the 7-15 year olds. TinyTots Tennis and MegaTennis is affiliated
with Tennis NSW and our tennis teaching manuals and methods are
approved by Tennis NSW as effective for the teaching of children.
Classes at Funarama Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday morning and Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. The
cost for each term is $120.00
